Supernote Manta: a database you write by hand

Manta is not trying to be a Kindle, a Boox, or a reMarkable. Ratta’s bet is that handwriting is a graph of documents you should still be able to open if the company vanishes. Export is not a footnote. Links between notes are not a demo.

The 10.7-inch 3:4 page is closer to a legal pad than the usual 10.3-inch 4:3. Carta 1300 at 300 ppi makes small print in a scanned paper honest. There is no front light. This is either a dealbreaker or the reason the whites stay white.

At this price you can buy a Paper Pro and get color. You cannot buy Ratta’s particular stubbornness. We keep a Manta on the desk and a Paperwhite in the bag. That split feels adult.
