About ereaderinfo.com

ereaderinfo.com is a website dedicated to E Ink and other electrophoretic displays. It covers how the technology works, which devices use it (readers, note tablets, phones, watches, monitors, and retail signage), and how those panels compare with OLED, LCD, Mini-LED, and reflective LCD. Adjacent technologies such as memory LCD, NXTPAPER, and Daylight are labeled when they show up, because they are not E Ink.

Scores

Scores are editorial, on a 10 scale, rounded to a tenth. They weigh the device as used: panel, software, battery, file support, and whether it holds up over weeks of use. They are not lab measurements and not an average of user stars.

Affiliates

Shop buttons go to Amazon search pages and manufacturer sites. If you buy through an Amazon link, we may earn a commission. That does not buy a score or a recommendation. Maker links are not affiliates unless marked. Street prices on the site are snapshots from September 2026 — which is why the button says “check price.”

Trademarks

E Ink, Carta, Kaleido, Gallery, Spectra, and ComfortGaze are trademarks of E Ink Holdings and related entities. Kindle is Amazon. Kobo is Rakuten. Other product names belong to their owners. ereaderinfo.com is not affiliated with E Ink Holdings.

Editorial rules

We do not call a reflective LCD “e-ink.” We do not treat Kaleido 3 as Gallery 3. We do not hide ghosting on 25-inch monitors, import friction on color phones, or Kindle’s closed store.
